History

Established in 1980 and originally started by the Ortiz family, Tarasco is an establishment that has been serving Ballard’s locals for the past 35+ years. Having been run and managed almost single-handedly by Djerassi Cuevas aka “Tony” for the past two decades, Tarasco has continued to stay true to their idea of serving real Mexican food and drinks.  Now, with recent changes to the area, Tarasco has set their sights on catering to an evolving neighborhood–and with the next generation of family members gearing up to do their part, you can expect even more improvements in the coming months.

Tarasco Karaoke was honored to be named Best Karaoke by Seattle Weekly in 2012, Best Karaoke Bar in America by Amex Travel + Leisure & featured on Seattle’s Refine Magazine.

Want to be the Karaoke DJ @ Tarasco??

NOW HIRING!!!

Karaoke Kurt Entertainment is looking to hire a Karaoke DJ.  The gig is 9:00 PM to Close at Tarasco in Ballard on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.  This is totally a side-gig, we are looking for a DJ to work something like 2 or 3 shifts per month.  No experience in DJ’n is necessary (we can show you the ropes).  What is necessary is to love karaoke,  love the idea of being a karaoke host + know how to encourage others to have fun, and to keep the party going!
Please respond with a little bit about yourself.  Make sure to let us know why you love Karaoke & DJ’n!  Feel free to include a resume, head shots, favorite karaoke songs, hobbies, experience etc.
